the new beginnings" seems to equate to a singular time-unit which may have stood completely
apart from the weekly sequence. As such, this respective time-unit would seemingly have oc-
curred precisely at a lunar-phase.
In presumed chronology with the cited ceremonious feast (at the "1 to the new-
beginnings"), the calendar of Ezekiel also is indicated to have contained a feast which was rou-
tinely celebrated on "the 7 to the new-beginnings".
Of special interest is the fact that both of these presumed monthly feasts were uniquely spe-
cial in the regard that a sanctification ceremony was observed on both of these events (and with
special sacrifices performed on both dates). The biblical texts -- as listed below -- are arranged
chronologically in an attempt to depict the frequent biblical usage of a singular date: "the 1 to the
new beginnings" (or "echad to the chodesh"):
Genesis 8:5: ...on "1 to the chodesh", were the tops of the mountains seen...
Genesis 8:13: ...in "1 to the chodesh", the waters were dried up from off the earth...
Leviticus 23:24: ...in "1 to the chodesh" shall ye have a Shabbathown...
Numbers 1:1: ...on "1 of the 2nd chodesh" in the second year...
Numbers 1:18: ...on "1 of the 2nd chodesh", and they declared their births...
Numbers 29:1: ...on "1 to the chodesh", ye shall have an holy convocation...
Numbers 33:38: ...in "1 of the 5th chodesh"...(Aaron died).
Deuteronomy 1:3: ...in "1 to the chodesh", Moses spake unto the children of Israel...
2 Chronicles 29:17: ...on "1 of the first chodesh" they began to sanctify...
Ezra 3:6: ...on "day 1 to chodesh the 7th" began they to offer burnt offerings...
Ezra 7:9: ...from "1 of the first chodesh" began he to go up from Babylon,
Ezra 7:9: ....and by "1 of the 5th chodesh" came he to Jerusalem...
Ezra 10:16: ...from "day 1 to chodesh the 10th"...
