The Master Builder for His people laid --
A channel through the chalk hills of the West
To form a group of islands, strangely blessed...
So came we to the promised land to dwell
The wanderers of ten tribed Israel --
The stock from which there came descendancy...
The Celto-Anglo-Saxon family.

And with the years there grew a type of man
Groomed to measure up to God’s great plan --
From four years after Calvary we trace
A Christian church in the Appointed Place...
Newton, Cranmer, Milton, Wesley, Cook,
Countless names crowd through the history book --
Shakespeare peerless, Caxton, Wren and Drake...
The whole world is in debt to British genius.
